At one time readership here was very strong - over 10,000 readers a day. Outside of Google search results leading users to specific player profiles, the traffic has dwindled in recent years. That is largely because I became fairly inactive at the site - first because of some very big external hockey projects that took up my time and second because of burnout and lack of passion for this particular project.
But, as you may have noticed, the last couple of weeks I have been back at it, profiling the most recently retired NHLers. I have been enjoying the writing, the creative process, the research for the first time in years.
I'm hoping this will lead to a rebuilding of readership. It's time for legions of hockey fans to discover a unique and quality hockey history website that no one knows about anymore - website that has been 24 years in the making.
