"For those who follow European hockey, today Jan. 26 is the 70th anniversary of the championship of the first ever official league in the Soviet Union. On Jan. 26, 1947, Moscow Dynamo defeated CDKA, the old Red Army team 2-1 in front of 10,000 fans outdoors at Dynamo Stadium with the temperature sitting at 12 degrees Fahrenheit."
