Steven Stamkos scored his 500th career point last night. He has scored 278 goals and 222 assists in his career.
It was Stamkos' 495th career game, making him the fifth fastest among active players: Sidney Crosby (369), Alexander Ovechkin (373), Evgeni Malkin (413), Jaromir Jagr (419)
Stamkos also became the third player in Lightning history to record 500 points with the team. The others: Martin St. Louis (365-588—953 in 972 GP) and Vincent Lecavalier (383-491—874 in 1,037 GP).
