The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and six participating countries approved a letter intent on last week for the new World Legends Hockey League (WLHL).
Former NHL star Pavel Bure is the chairman of the new league that will feature three games played by six national teams. Players must be over 45 years of age and have represented their country internationally in the past.
The Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Russia, Slovakia, and Sweden will all take part in the new WLHL.
