Steve Montador's Son Born Four Days After Montador's Death

Days before his death, Steve Montador told one of his best friends he had a new purpose in life — helping others.

Undoubtedly, the one he would have cherished helping the most would have been his first child, who was born Thursday.

The Calgary Sun has learned the mother of his child gave birth to a baby boy Thursday, just four days after the retired NHLer was found dead in his Mississauga, Ont., home by his current girlfriend.
