Have you ever wondered who scored the first NHL goal of the 21st century?
Well even if you have not, the answer is Sergei Krivokarasov. "Krivo" was playing for the Nashville Predators at the time. He scored just 22 seconds into the first period in a 3-2 win over San Jose on January 1st, 2000.
The Predators/Sharks game was the first of 7 games to start play that day.
By the way, who was the last player to score in the 20th century? The answer to that is Brett Hull, then playing with Dallas.

Actually, the 21st century began on January 1, 2001. But you could still say he scored the first goal of the 2000s.
