Gordie Howe On National Police Gazette Cover

I have seen a lot of hockey magazines over the years. But before now I had never seen this January 1st, 1950 magazine featuring Gordie Howe on the cover.

It is the National Police Gazette magazine. I really do not know too much about it. It appears to be a bit of an early tabloid, with gossipy talk about Bing Crosby and scantily clad women throughout the magazine. The magazine had an impressive run from 1845 through 1977
