I think there is a pretty viable argument that Pat Quinn is the most important man in the history of the Vancouver Canucks. He transformed the franchise not only from sad-sack losers on the ice, but from near-irrelevant status in the city into a fan/sponsor base that now sees them as one of the most powerful economic forces in pro sports.
So it comes as no surprise that the Vancouver Canucks have (finally) honoured Pat Quinn. Here's the video from last night:
