Former NHLer Bates Battaglia Wins The Amazing Race

Former Carolina Hurricanes forward Bates Battaglia and his brother are $1 million richer.
Battaglia and his brother, Anthony Battaglia, were victorious in the CBS reality show "The Amazing Race," which aired its finale Sunday.
Bates Battaglia, 37, spent nine seasons in the NHL with Carolina, the Colorado Avalanche, Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs. He was originally drafted by the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in the sixth round (No. 132) of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft.
Anthony Battaglia, 33, also plays professional hockey. He appeared in 25 games this season for the Huntsville Havoc (SPHL), tallying five goals and nine assists.
The brothers rode over 30,000 miles to win the show, with the final leg taking place in Washington, D.C.
