Hockey players insulting each others intelligence is about as old as the game itself.
It even happens among teammates. And sometimes that can be relentless. But pay-back can be oh-so-sweet!
Ask Bob "Hound Dog" Kelly of the Flyers. His roommate for a while was Wayne Hillman. Hillman loved to belittle Hound about his I.Q.
One morning Kelly came into their apartment smirking and said "Hey wise guy, you always call me dumb, but it's pouring rain outside and your car is outside with the windows open."
"Damn it!" Hillman growled. "Why didn't you close them?"
"I couldn't," frowned Kelly. "The doors were locked."
