This Day In Hockey History: June 20th
1983 - Los Angeles Kings traded Steve Bozek to Calgary in exchange for Carl Mokosak and Kevin LaVallee.
1983 - Calgary traded Phil Russell along with Mel Bridgman to New Jersey in exchange for Steve Tambellini and Joel Quenneville.
1992 - Tampa Bay Lightning chose 18-year-old Roman Hamrlik as the first overall pick in the 1992 NHL Draft.
1992 - Detroit Red Wings obtained Dino Ciccarelli from the Washington Capitals, in exchange for Kevin Miller.
1992 - Quebec Nordiques traded the rights to Eric Lindros to both Philadelphia and the New York Rangers, in a trade that was forced to go to arbitration. Eventually Lindros was awarded to Philadelphia.
1993 - Edmonton Oilers traded Martin Gelinas to the Quebec Nordiques in exchange for Scott Pearson.
1994 - New York Islanders named Lorne Henning as their new head coach, replacing Al Arbour who retired.
1998 - GM Bryan Murray named his brother Terry Murray as the Florida Panthers new head coach.
1999 - LA Kings acquired Ziggy Palffy, Bryan Smolinski from the NY Islanders for Olli Jokinen, Josh Green, and the Kings 1st Rd Pick in the 1999 NHL Draft.
