Kelly Hrudey is one of my favorite broadcasters in hockey nowadays. But back when he played, as much as I tried to, I never could get around to liking Kelly Hrudey the goaltender.
I don't know why - maybe it was he never won the big game. Part of me really wanted Wayne Gretzky to win a Stanley Cup in Los Angeles, but I (unfairly, probably) never had a lot of confidence in Hrudey.
Nah, that was not it. I didn't like that weird looking helmet. The blue bandanna did not help matters, either.
