The picture above is of the Boston Bruins Stanley Cup parade back on May 1970. Sitting in the car wearing a black shirt and sunglasses is Bobby Orr.
The Bruins would have another Stanley Cup parade in 1972, the last time championship t-shirts were printed in Boston.Saturday Boston hosts the 2011 Stanley Cup parade, beginning at 11 a.m. at TD Garden and winds up at Copley Square. Police are preparing for an amazing 1 million people to partake.
Parades are great, but the Bruins really need to replicate that '72 t-shirt. They don't make hockey t-shirts like that anymore.
