May 12th, 1973 - Toronto Maple Leafs signed Swedish defenseman Borje Salming and forward Inge Hammarstrom as free agents. Salming is pictured above with older brother Stig (#8).
May 12th, 1977 - Guy Lafleur scored twice and added two assists to lead Montreal to a 4-2 win at Boston, in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The win gave the Canadiens a 3-0 lead in the series.
May 12th, 1995 - Goaltender Martin Brodeur recorded his third shutout of the series, and Randy McKay scored the winning goal at 8:51 of overtime as New Jersey won 1-0 over the visiting Bruins, in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarter-Finals.
