Remembering Claude Loiselle

The Toronto Maple Leafs named Claude Loiselle as their assistant general manager. Which is funny, that's what I thought Dave Nonis was. It turns out Nonis has a fancier title - senior vice-president of hockey operations. Then there's Dave Poulin - vice president of hockey operations. Jim Hughes is director of player development and some guy named Reid Mitchell is director of scouting. I remember when all of this pretty much was the assistant general managers job. My question - other than talking to media, trading away draft picks and selling hot dogs, what exactly is Brian Burke's job description?

Here's a look back at Claude Loiselle's playing career. Did you know in his extensive career in the minor leagues he worked as a summertime carpenter to make ends meet? Or that, like Eric Lindros, the Quebec Nordiques botched his trade because they tried moving him to too many teams? Here's my memories of Claude Loiselle.
