The Greatest Goalie You Don't Know About

My girlfriend dared to hog the television set to watch Sherlock Holmes on DVD, causing me to miss the first period of the Canucks game. Given that they fell behind 5-0, I guess I almost should thank her.

Instead of indulging in the movie I took the opportunity to write about Harry "Hap" Holmes, the greatest goaltender that you do not know about.

Hap Holmes backstopped four different teams to four Stanley Cup championships. Had he done this in more contemporary times he would be an absolute legend. Yet today very few people know much at all about Hap Holmes. Hopefully this Hap Holmes biography does something to change that.
