Canada vs. Norway
UPDATE: Join me on Twitter @HockeyLegends for the game!
That's Canada's Mike Fisher knocking down Norway's Mats Zuccarello Aasen back in the 2008 World Championships.
Canada hopes to do the same to Norway as the two open the 2010 Olympics.
Canada is a notoriously slow starter, often taking these heavy underdogs far too lightly. So they should not be taking anything for granted.
That being said, Norway really has little hope. They're in the A pool with Canada, USA and Switzerland. Playing against Canada will be their gold medal game. They will be ready.
The 5'7" 155lb Zuccarello Aasen may be their best player. In 2009 he was named as the Norwegian player of the year. The 22 year old currently plays with MoDo where he is one of the top players in the Swedish Elite League.
In other games, USA plays Switzerland at noon (PST) - attention USA fans: sign up at http://teamusanews.org for access to the latest info and to receive exclusive updates throughout the games.
Russia plays poor Latvia tonight at 9pm (PST). Alexander Ovechkin's quest to make these HIS games begins tonight!
