Big Plans For Maple Leaf Gardens
Ryerson University and Loblaws have unveiled $60 million renovation plans for Maple Leaf Gardens.
The grocery chain will dominate the main floor, with Ryerson's new athletic facilities, including an ice rink, moving upstairs. It will not be the same ice rink the Leafs won so many Stanley Cups on.
It seems like a reasonable solution to me, although I'm disappointed the famous Maple Leaf Gardens sign will be replaced by the Ryerson sign.
