Buying Hockey History

I had recently highlighted a few interesting items from Classic Auctions.net's most recent online auction of hockey collectibles. The auction ended a couple of days ago, so let's go back and see how those items sold:

Bobby Orr's 1972 Summit Series worn practice jersey - 23 bids, sold at $11,120.00

Montreal AAA 1902 Stanley Cup championship pocket watch
- 1 bid, sold at $10,000.00

1937 Howie Morenz stick autographed in his deathbed - 18 bids, sold at $3,723.00

Carl Liscombe's 1943 Stanley Cup championship ring - 12 bids, sold at $7,594.00

Jack Shill's game worn 1942 AHL All Star Game sweater - 11 bids, $1,143.00

Harry Oliver's game worn 1930s NY Americans sweater
- 25 bids, $24,655.00

By the way, the one item I was personally eyeing up got out of my price range pretty quickly. I'm happy to say a colleague of mine did land the lot of 450 hockey books, outbidding 20 others and paying nearly $2,100.00.
