Former New York Rangers and Buffalo Sabres bench boss Ted Sator has been named as the new head coach of the Hungarian national team.
Sator is familiar with Hungarian hockey, coaching the club team Volan Szekesfehervar since 2002. He was formerly the head coach of the Slovenian national team and an assistant with Team USA in two Canada Cup tournaments. He has also coached in Sweden, Finland and Italy.

Ted Sator spent less than two seasons in Hungary coatching Alba Volan between 2008 and 2009.
