Catching Up With The Past

There is a bit of news involving former NHLers. So let's dust off the Catching Up With The Past headline and see what's going on:

• I already posted about Serge Savard fronting a group to purchase the Montreal Canadians. The Montreal Gazette follows up with a story about how Savard still carries the Habs in his heart.
• The Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame is welcoming some former NHLers. Goalies Ed Belfour, of Carman, and Ken Wregget, of Brandon, as well as former Jets players Bill Lesuk and Ray Neufeld are to be inducted. Also honoured will be women's player and coach Jill Mathez and the 1960s Canadian national hockey team.
• Former New York Ranger Rod Gilbert is having a customized motorcycle built for him by the popular TLC show American Chopper.
  
• A small California paper takes a look at Wayne Gretzky's sons different athletic pursuits.
