What A Way To Celebrate New Year's Eve!

"Ladies and gentlemen, you have just witnessed one of the greatest hockey games you will ever see."

That is what TSN commentator Gord Miller said at the conclusion of the World Junior Championships classic game between Canada and the United States. It may have been the best hockey game in all of 2008.

Nevermind the many the turnovers and at-times poor positional play. This game was full of so much emotion, even I was tired.

Seriously.

In the second period I had the weirdest feeling. I'm still not sure exactly what it was. It was either emotional exhaustion, or inner peace. I had such a calmness inside of me in that second period. I actually think I was completely content in knowing that I was watching a truly great hockey game!
