You make me feel something like summertime
Top down, ain't nothing but time
Radio's on and you're by my side
Feels something like summertime
Like a first slow dance and a first long kiss
There ain't nothing baby better then this
It's like a beach blanket and a bottle of wine
It feels something like summertime
- Bon Jovi
Ah, it is summer time. Well, okay, it's not officially summer until June 21st, but hockey fans operate on a different calendar. New Year's is when the puck is dropped in October. Summer starts the day after the Stanley Cup is won.
Unlike many hockey blogs, I plan to be extremely active in the off-season, adding content and features for permanent display here at GreatestHockeyLegends.com. I plan on posting new content most days until I go on vacation in late August, though I will take days off here and there.
What can you expect to see this summer?
I want to get back into writing more player profiles. During the Stanley Cup playoffs I was too busy to write a lot of new biographies, so I hope to add quite a few this summer.
I plan to have special features for the upcoming NHL entry draft. Also, I want to go backwards and complete the popular year-by-year Stanley Cup capsules. I started with 1930 for no real reason, but I have to go back to 1893.
I want to look at hockey's iconic moments, and maybe I'll revisit last summer's blockbuster hit, the greatest hockey players of all time.
I also want to upgrade 1972 Summit Series.com, and I have some serious catching up to do over at HockeyBookReviews.com.
In the immediate future here at GreatestHockeyLegends.com look for features on who will be in the Hockey Hall of Fame class in 2008 and the NHL retirement watch.
Enjoy your summer. There's something like 120 days before they drop the puck again, so I know readership levels will now plummet, but my regular will check back on a regular basis. It is for you that I keep up this labour of love. Thank you so much.
There ain't nothing baby better then this.
