1969: Habs Win 4th Cup in 5 years
The year is 1969. The Montreal Canadiens' "Quiet Dynasty" again sweeps Scotty Bowman's St. Louis Blues in the Stanley Cup finals. It is Montreal's 4 Stanley Cup championship in the past 5 seasons.
Serge Savard was the star of the finals, with fantastic play in both ends of the ice. For his efforts he was rewarded with the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP.
Dick Duff continued his strong playoff play, notching a team high 6 goals. His 14 points was only a single point behind leader Jean Beliveau.
A young Rogie Vachon out-duelled former Habs legend Jacques Plante now in the St. Louis net, who was nothing short of spectacular.
Montreal's Quiet Dynasty would soon be facing a new challenger - the scoring exploits of Boston Bruins superstars Phil Esposito and Bobby Orr.

Interesting that the Bruins did not face the Habs in the '70 or the '72 playoffs.
I live near Boston; but I never liked Harry Sinden OR Bobby Orr----who the refs "protected", as they did NOT protect others . . . like Bobby HULL.
Orr was unlucky though to have bad knees, even when young. Well, so did Mickey Mantle and Gale Sayers.
