The NHL Entry Draft is only a few weeks away. I know summer is here and hockey is on the back burner, but I wanted to invite you back here for some NHL draft history.
I plan at looking back at the careers of the famous and not so famous draft picks. I'll identify classic draft busts, late round steals and undrafted NHL stars. I'll also look at some odd draft moments, and break down numbers historically.
Here's a hint of what will be coming for my upcoming draft coverage: My newest profile is of Michel Plasse. Plasse, not Rick DiPietro, was the first goaltender ever to be drafted first overall in the NHL Entry Draft, back in 1968. Plasse was also to the first professional goaltender to shoot the puck into the opposition's net and be credited for a goal. -- Full Michel Plasse Biography --
