Game One Goes To Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks took a huge 1-0 lead in the 2007 Stanley Cup finals on Monday night, coming from behind to beat the Ottawa Senators 3-2.

Now a 1-0 series lead might not sound overly significant, but history tells us it is. Teams winning Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final have gone on to win the championship in 52 of 67 seasons (77.6%) since the League introduced the best-of-seven format in 1939.
