New York Ranger's Goaltending Legends



New Yorkers love goaltenders. Mike Richter and his Statue of Liberty mask became immortalized forever after winning the Stanley Cup in 1994. The unforgetable Eddie Giacomin is probably the single most popular hockey figure in Manhattan's crowded sports scene. And the goalie who started the love affair was Dave Kerr, 1940 Stanley Cup champion and hockey's first cover boy.
