If there is one thing I've learned while operating the Legends of Hockey Network, it is that Newfoundlanders are very proud of their hockey heroes, all 23 of them.
Alex Faulkner was the very first inhabitant of "the Rock" to make it into the NHL, and he has been a Newfoundland legend ever since. Almost inexplicably, the Bishop Falls native is routinely one of the most looked up profiles here at the Legends of Hockey Network. He only played in 101 NHL games and scored just 15 goals, but almost daily his profile gets more page views than many of the Hall of Famers featured here.
Just so all you Newfies are aware, NHL.com's front page is featuring the latest native son to make the big leagues - Ryane Clowe of the San Jose Sharks

Do people from Newfoundland like being referred to as Newfies?
